Twelve different kinds of champagne are offered starting at $8 a glass; sweet and savory snack menu too. “Evolving and expanding our spaces with tact is as challenging as it is motivating. Each store must feel completely unique while retaining the red thread that runs through all of our flagships. Our new Miami Design District location feels like a true notch in our timeline.

The eatery has white-washed ash walls with picture frame molding and a checkerboard floor, fluted ming green counter and fluted Carrara marble header. The design of the main store, which was created by Kith founder and creative director Ronnie Fieg, includes a neutral color palette alongside vibrant shades of green. Santa Margherita Rosa Perlino, Perlato Royal and Carrara marble floors and structures are woven alongside wavy fluted plaster, birch wood, brass and painted gypsum. Kith has opened its second Miami location in Miami Design District, including Miami’s inaugural Sadelle’s at Kith restaurant with Major Food Group and a standalone Kith Treats store.

Vanilla ice cream swirl infused with Kariot Hazelnut Cream cereal served on top of a Kith Belgian Waffle, topped with cereal-dusted whipped cream, Nutella drizzle, Kariot cereal and crushed hazelnut. You can check out the new space—located at 69 NE 41st Street Miami, Florida 33137—below. This new location joins the retailer’s Miami Beach store on Collins Ave., which opened in 2016. According to the retailer’s website, this marks the 14th outpost for the company. In honor of the opening, Fieg and Asics have partnered on a new iteration of a shoe, the Gel-Lyte III Remastered – Super Yellow. This version of the sneaker that Fieg first introduced in 2007 offers a nubuck upper, split tongue and the form stripes in orange suede.

There’s a new mini Sadelle’s diner hiding in the Design District

The brand’s profile grew as streetwear took over the fashion industry, permeating into the designs of luxury houses, such as Louis Vuitton and Balenciaga. Located at 69 NE 41st Street, this new two-story flagship is the second Miami store for the New York-based retailer and includes a Kith for Sadelle’s restaurant and a standalone Kith Treats store directly across the street. Upon entering, a circular structure separates the menswear from the womenswear and there is a hallway of fitting rooms with birch-paneled walls and ceilings in the rear. Floor-to-ceiling windows provide natural light and floating white steps lead to the second floor, where customers find ribbed fabric walls across a large circular shoe room. The Kith Miami Design District concept mirrors that of Kith’s signature retail designs, transposed against details that embody modern elements the Miami neighborhood is known for.

The Design District, developed by Craig Robins, is considered the pinnacle of luxury shopping in Miami. It’s home to marquee fashion names including Louis Vuitton and Chanel as well some of the city’s trendiest gastronomic hotspots such as the renowned Itamae and L’Atelier de Joel Robuchon. The expansion will include a Sadelle’s restaurant as well as the first stand-alone Kith Treats location. The latter will serve exclusive Signature Specials and offer inline apparel capsules.

In what is now dubbed the Kith Miami Design District area, is Kith treats, ideal for a sweet break. Find cereal based soft ice cream with or without a cone, milkshakes with over 40 kinds of mixins and  Belgian waffles. The Design District outpost is likely to become a flagship destination for both companies, given the building’s size. The three-story structure spans 37,326 square feet, including a 13,125-square-foot ground floor. As this new flagship will be opening during Art Basel, Kith has commissioned legendary artist Futura to create a special piece to be displayed in the front of Kith Miami.

Located in the Miami Design District’s Jungle Plaza, Market for Makers is a recurring Market held every few months in the neighborhood. This market typically includes 90+ Makers, featuring handcrafted goods from local artists and small businesses. Frieze is a classic scoop shop on Lincoln Road where you can get a simple but tasty cone or cup. Two decades ago, developer Craig Robins began acquiring parcels across the Buena Vista neighborhood. In 2010, Robins’ Dacra and LVMH-backed L Catterton Real Estate teamed up to redevelop the neighborhood into an outdoor retail center, dashed with a taste of art. All told, Major Food Group is set to open between seven and 10 restaurants in Miami this year, founder Zalaznick told Commercial Observer last fall.

The fashion brand’s standalone ice cream shop in the Design District is pretty much always crawling with hungry hypebeasts. But even if you don’t know the difference between Stone Island and Love Island, you’ll appreciate it. They feed the scoops into a machine that looks like a drill, which gives the ice cream a soft consistency and mixes in whichever cereal (or candy) you choose from the dozens of options on the menu. Kith has a Miami Beach location too, but the Design District one has more space and seats. Established in 2011, Kith is a lifestyle brand and progressive retail concept that’s celebrated globally for its ability to tell stories, evoke nostalgia and connect product to the passion it’s woven with. Kith has in-house apparel lines for men, women and children, a Kith Treats cereal and ice cream bar in every flagship and locations in three continents.

This piece has been created to mirror the exclusive product Kith is releasing with Nike on opening day, thus creating a cohesive visual experience for customers. In addition to a two-story multibrand store, the site also includes a Kith for Sadelle restaurant and a stand-alone Kith Treats store across the street. Meanwhile, ASG offloaded its entire Miami Design District retail portfolio to focus on a planned mixed-use project, the release states. In addition to the two buildings sold to the Dacra partnership, ASG sold a 5,000-square-foot store to Alo Yoga for $22 million in December.

In addition, Kith introduces the brand’s first permanent standalone Kith Treats outpost, located directly across the street from Kith’s retail location, at 84 NE 41st Street. A circular bar of Rosa Portugalo marble centralizes the 1,000 square foot space against Carrara marble barstools and stainless-steel accents, highlighted by Kith Treats’ discernible parlor-style cereal canister wall. The location will serve new and exclusive signature specials created by friends and family of Kith. For guests seated at the counter, there will be an extended menu of original Belgian waffle offerings with custom Kith branding. It also includes a visit to the office of Craig Robins to view his rotating art exhibits. Ahana Yoga goes beyond that of a typical workout facility and it offers drop-in classes for just $25. When I interviewed the Director of this prestigious Milan headquartered fashion school, he told me about a combination fashion book and magazine store and cafe with outdoor terrace on the horizon. Happily, it’s open now and for you fashionistas, it’s a must visit when you’re in the Design District. Time your visit to grab an Italian coffee and pastry, or maybe an Italian style sandwich or pasta, and gaze through or purchase some of the 900 books on all aspects of fashion from around the world. And how could I forget the fashion magazines from everywhere from Korea and the UK to Italy and France!
